Did some trading today with a guy and picked up these PRW steel Rockers 1.6 x 3/8". Don't know much about rockers and what not, but will they work on a stock 350 TBI? Will I have to get shorter push rods? He said he bought them for his 87 and never used them.

I believe your '89 uses self aligning rockers, the ones pictured are not self aligning.

The ones you have there need guideplates to stay centered on the valve, your heads do not have guideplates.

it says self-aligning on the box. the guy I bought them from said they were made to replace the stock ones without any changes. Is that true? Can I just replace the old rockers with these?

my neighbor was telling me he thought they might be too long. He said he wasn't sure but he thought stock rockers were 1.5, not 1.6:confused: Is that true?

Stock rocker arms are 1.5:1 ratio, 1.6:1 rockers will bolt right in their place.

The higher ratio rocker arm will open the valve more and will make the cam seem "bigger"

just put them on about 2 weeks ago. Only thing I've noticed so far is that my exhaust sounds slightly different. If anything I think it may have some more top end power just from my seat of the pants judgement. Feels like it will stay in OD more instead of kicking out.

The only thing I changed was the rockers. My pushrods all were straight and appeared to be in good shape so I just put them back. I'm also running the stock cam. My engine is stock except for a throttle body spacer, the PRW rockers now, and some hedman headers I'm about to put on
