I have been searching for the thread where someone posted up a .pdf on bleeding the steering. Can anyone help me find it , I am struggling

Thanks

You should thank Gotlabs, he's the one that I stole the link from. He had posted it on another k5 forum.

Dear god I can not get the steering to quit squealing. It is driving me nuts.

But I drove it a little bit....how exciting.

What kinds of changes did you make to the steering?

Belt squeal or pump whine?

PICS!!! I havnt seen pics of your truck in a loooooong time :D

I modified the valve in the pump, added hydro assist and a cooler (tranny cooler). I also extended the filler neck. It doesn't foam any more and I don't get any big volcano eruptions when I shut it off but it still squeals.

Ill take some pics after I get the rockers and sheet metal work done. It looks like crap right now. but it DRIVES!!!!

Did you check the things on page 4 of the PDF file from post two? They mention slippage of the shaft against the pulley. Possible, if not the belt???
