I could not find what I was looking for, so I am hoping that you fine folks can clue me in!

My OEM pump is starting to whine on me, (I have not checked for air in the system yet) but since I will be replacing the engine within the next week or so and the pump may be the original and it has to come off anyways, I was thinking of replacing it.

Could you make a recommendation for a new system? do I replace just the pump or is there a complete pump/reservoir/pulley setup? I think a complete setup would be great.

If it makes a difference here is the plan:

It has a redhead steering box - eventually going to ditch it for crossover steering.

Probably going to put a set a BFG AT/KO 35/12.5/15

It does have a drop pitman arm.

Any direction you could point me, parts, links, vendors, etc is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

I got a steering box from Benchworks steering in Phoenix. So far so good. They know about crossover and things people are trying to do. I told them I wanted a 2WD box for crossover with a slightly faster ratio.

I'm no expert, but the main decisions are whether you want crossover and whether you want hydro assist. With crossover you need a 2WD box and hydro requires a box with the extra fitting (benchworks knows about that too BTW).

AFAIK there's nothing special about pumps, but someone else can chime in. I went with ORD crossover and I like their "bent" draglink setup. IMO you may not want to jump on crossover if you don't need it since it exacerbates bump steer and makes it hard to run the sway bar. So it kind of biases your rig more toward off road. I did it because I got the ORD springs and suddenly the flex was causing everything to max out.

I'm not aware of a system all in one big box. Pretty sure you'll need to get stuff separately.

Thanks!

I did call ORD today, they do offer a PSC pump and reservoir.

Anyone running the PSC pump? Better recommendations?

I have the PSC pump on my truck, but I am also running their full hydro with double ended steering ram kit. Works awesome
