If you don't have any troubles hitting things on your tie rod or have a beefy tie rod then the .625" shaft won't be a problem. PSC ram is by far the nicest ram i've seen out there.
Ya I have a stock tie rod but will go to a large diameter heavy wall one later on. I do run rock but do not "bash" it on the rocks only the sheetmetal bashes the rocks
