If things go right I will have a nice 80 Malibu soon (next weekend). I've been looking for a street car project and this one is the right price, no rust, 4" cowl hood...just needs a motor and tranny. Thinking about building another big block and putting my MPFI system on it :D Gas mileage be damned.
Will post pics when I know for sure

That body is kinda forgotten on the whole , but a few people and myself love it .

Theres a nice one here , white one running 11's on the motor , barebones no money guy :D

If its got a sweep dash you could use a Monte Carlo cluster .

G-BODY !!!!!!!!!!!! One of the most over looked GM's. Makes great street rods.

Did they put the console in too ?

The neatest thing was the floor shift in the monte . The shifter on the floor worked the tranny , and the cloumn collar moved too and the indicator was in the dash :D

Now thats gonna be a sweet ass ride . I'd rather have the straight body instead of my motor . Your gonna have way less body prep than I will in my Bu' :D

I hear ya. I can do body work if I need to but it gets so dusty. I rather R&R and motor and trans any day.
If I get this I'm not sure how I want to build it. I have access to my old T56 6 speed. I'm thinking the 454 from my K5 with the MPFI unit I bought and haven't installed yet. It would make for a nice street touring car :D

That does look nice. Personally, I'd go with a small block just because they wind up quicker.
