How can I tell if I have a part time 203 or if I have a full time 203. Could I find this out by shifting the case and wheather or not the front output spins. I have the case out of the truck right now so driving it is not an option.

They have manual locking Warn hubs installed. One needs replaced but i have to get out of the truck and lock them in in the center of the wheels if thats what your asking.

Then someone has installed a part time kit in your 203. With lock in hubs on a full time 203 you have to either have the hubs locked or the shifter in lock for the truck to move, otherwise the differential in the t-case sends all of the power to the unlocked front. (path of least resistance)

Ok this makes sence. This is why I was able to shift the case into a 2WD low range with the stock shifter right?

The stock shifting unit I have is a major P.O.S. It has never work with ease, so I have decided to build a twin stick shifting unit out of two complete units Hybrid together. when complete this should be my new shifting pattern.....?

2wd - 4WD (Stick one on left)

Low-N-High (Stick two on Right)
