So as some of you guys might recall, i work for AAA. Yesterday, we got a call for a winch out, and one of the drivers went to look at it and after walking through the woods for a half mile, said he couldnt get his wrecker out there, so me and my manager and my other buddy went out. One thing, my truck isnt done and the only thing with a winch is my fathers 06 jeep rubicon unlimited:doah: With a warn XD9000i. So anyways we get out there, and it's in whats left of a dried pond, well small lake

So we hook the jeep up, and a snatch block off the dodge, and my buddy's F-250 to the jeep.

Then we take the chevy 2500 and hook it infront of the rear tire of the dodge, so it wouldnt roll into the pond

When he started it up, about 2 gallons of water pored outta the exhaust:eek1:

And let the pullin Begin...

After we pulled him my buddy said where i come from you try again till you make it... The kid said his 4X4 didnt work...

And we told him to change the oil ASAP he said yea whatever...

No "Thank You" or anything ? i like the way he responded to the oil comment... sounds like a class A kinda guy

He was like a 17 yr old kid, who didnt know much of anything, but yea, no thanks or nothin, it was a good thing daddy came to the rescue and paid for the winch out, as my buddy said to him, if you dont pay, ill take the truck and get it stuck alot worse than it is now...

i get stuck A LOT. in very stupid ways. i always thank the guy pulling out like crazy. i'm very polite and apprecitive.

those are usually the kind of guys that you have fun with while pulling them out. hook it to the bumper and see how many yanks it takes to get the bumper off. after seeing the water line on the truck I dont think I would have started it at all until the fluids were drained and changed.

I had my '97 dodge buried up about that deep one time. Both front headlights were under water. Had about 6"s of water in the cab and burned up to amps under the seat. The truck sat for about 2 hours before I could get pulled out. Ended up costing about $2500 and the truck sat for two months. Transmission, Starter, Altenator, rear brakes and front brakes from all the mud in them, had to pull the oil pan and clean about 2"s of mud out of it and I think that was about it. Plus the truck had to sit for 2 months working on it. I guess we all live and learn. Now I stick to the rocks!!! :D

hopefully it wasnt only mud in the cab...he probably took a dump in there too! S*@! in the pants!

That's why I don't bail off in holes that I don't know...

I atleast get out and poke around with a stick first.

And I make sure my 4wd is working...
