the one on top of the 10b knuckles. ive got a truck with 6" lift on it the front axle is out and im trying to get the arm off the new trucks axle so i can put it on mine. ive already chained the axle to a tree and snatched ont eh arm with my truck it didnt budge. yes i removed the bolts. any ideas?

Use at least a 2 lbs hammer and swing for the numbers on the top of the arm. If it still dosen't move after a few smacks, use some WD-40 on the conical washers and give it a few minutes. Then whack it again. Repeat until the washers wiggle out, or your arm cramps up.

What he said, plus hold a propane torch on it till it's good and hot! Smack repeatedly!!! :D

pb blaster and lots of whacking like said. the long it soaks in pb, the better.

the best place to hit it is downward, about halfway around the curve.

Soak real good in PB or WD-40 and take an impact socket just slightly larger than the washer and whack right on top of it once or twice. That should loosen it up enough to get something to grab hold of it.

its off the truck you said? find the biggest sledge you can and whack away...!:D

what you cant see is the hammer that i was actually using. about 4 times the size of the orange one in the pic. :D and i moved the 44 after i knocked the hole in the floor, so you cant see that either. its on the dolly in the upper left corner of the pic.

Jeez do people not know how to search these days?? This is covered atleast once a week...........

people cant search if they dont pony up the $25 and get one of these...

im thinking if you chained the axle to a tree and tried to pull it off with your truck that you just made it that much tighter to get off. The conical washers tighten the more they forced upwards, so hit it down and from the side with a big arse sledgehammer and it should come off. and if you do use heat try not to get the ball joint area to hot.
