my friend blew his motor up on his 77 k10 and he wants me to pull it out and rebuild it. the thing is it is seized up and i can't get to any of the torque converter bolts. i dont want to damage the pump seal or input shaft. how do i pull the motor? im thinking about putting a jack under the tranny and pull the motor straight out then up, then pull the converter and put it back in the tranny. i want some ideas. im not pulling the trans also thats just to much damn work. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

pull the eng. oil pan and pull rod/main caps till the eng will turn

the cap with the spun bearing will ussually be black and/or dry (no oil on it)
