Pulling a TPI from an Iroc this weekend, any tips?

The point was that if the brown wire is present at A10 it can be removed with no adverse effects. Also I have removed the following wires as well with no codes showing up at all.
Green B8-ac signal
Orange/Black B10-park neutral switch
Dark Blue D11-fan request
Dark Green C8-4th gear signal
Tan/Black A7-tcc control or shift light control
Dark Green/Yellow A3-canister purge control
Gray A4-EGR control
Dark Green C15-EGR diagnostic temp switch
Black/Pink C2-air pump control
Brown A2-air pump switch
Dark Green/White C1-cooling fan control
Some of these wires did not exist, some I removed. The guts of the ECM are the same, the chips are different, and the harness is different. The weather resistant case was introduced in 90 when the ECM was moved under the hood in vettes. Why would you need all the transmission and ac controls in a situation where you are just replacing the intake and carb? You don't unless you are trying to install the vette trans (impossible because of a different case) or the F body trans (needs 4x4 shaft). If you want the 700R4 you would be better off using some of the money you saved building your own harness to buy a stand alone control for it to keep the systems seperate to isolate problems. A 72 does not have an electronic transmission.
Bottom line, my blazer runs better than GM's idea of perfect.

Don't follow me... You won't make it!
