Todd,

Our products are still made in Tempe, AZ USA (amps) and Grand Rapids MI USA (woofers). We have not been having a large return rate on any of our products. Maybe the person who is telling you the quality is not there, is not using our product to their specifications.

I've heard some rumblings that your quality is not what it once was. Which leads me to ask where your products are manufactured, not just assembled but where are your products actually made?

I've been a RF customer in the past and want to be sure I'm still buying "Made in America"

Question Reference #051020-000016

I never thought a company would admitt anything bad about thier own products, LOL.

Looks like a Power 650 (on Top) and a Punch 75... Got to love em!

well, they were an awsome product in their time, but now there are much more efficient products out there, this meaning the power consumption and useage...

Look into it more , they don't just make class a/b anymore  If I had the cash I would run the 3000 watt amp

I feel like I have been cheating on ck5 by hanging out in the RF forums :wink1:

RF never made their own head units. There's were made by Panasonic iirc. The old punch amps are great, I have a collection of 6 or 7 of them around here (plus links for them all muhaha). I have amps Ive replaced them with, but I just can't seem to talk myself into selling the RF's.

And if you don't believe RF's quality changed when they started selling to Bestbuy, research a little into the differences between an 800a2 and an 800aII (and why they have 2 designations for the 'same' model). I'll give you a hint, one version was for BestBuy, the other was for the 'regular' local RF dealers. Hmmm, wonder why they'd do that..... ;)

Anymore RF is like most car audio companies, they make some nice stuff, and they make some junk. *shrug* Dont get hung up on any one company, they'll break your heart. :p:

I saw the difference when I bougth mine . I forwent the model with the gray wings , and bought the one with the chrome wings . The amp I got was the entry level p2002 2 ch . The house model is rf2002 , same amp , just gray wings .

Doesn't mean they suck though .

I will evaluate mine for a year , in a dusty desert wheeling DD , and report back next fall :D

And I usually am the type to fall in love with something and remain faithful . Chevy's , Sony , AMD etc .

With car audio, some make good headunits, some make good amps, some make good speakers, and some make good subs. Entry level stuff is just that, entry level. It's good too start off with, but as with any addiction, you'll want more and more, LOL.

txhotrod, Have you hooked it up yet? Your a lucky dog....
