I drove to Nebraska to pick up my 'new' '72 Blazer. Turns out it is in pretty good shape. Some rust bubbles in body behind the doors where the top meets the body. Any suggestions on this?
Some floor panels have been replaced, I still need to rip the carpet out to get a good viewing. There is one hole on the drivers side kick plate where it meets the door frame on the floor.
Rockers, inside and outside have been replaced. It seems like the rear of the truck is riding on the frame, the body mounts (rubber) look wasted. The mounting brackets look ok, maybe bent some? The rear floor crossmember is sitting on the frame and is rusted some.
Previous owner stated that it has a 4" lift in back and a 2" in front, looks lie 4" all around to me. Some work was done to it, mostly not too well.
Engine leaked 1.5qt. of oil on the way between NE and MI. I have a SBC in my garage that has been waiting for a home... Last time it ran was 10 years ago, but it was built for torque, 400 ft. lbs. to be exact.
