Push rod punctured pan on clutch arm...

I found another post with the exact same issue and solved the same, with an acorn nut and some all thread. They used a steel acorn nut and grease. They also talked JB weld to plug the hole but I didn't see if they actually tried it. I found that brass acorn nuts wear too fast. I was constantly adjusting the clutch. Last week my throwout bearing puked ball bearings and froze from being out of adjustment so frequently (of course while my wife was driving). I get to tear it apart and fix it the right way now, and get a new pressure plate etc.

a couple of months after that last post in 2018 the throwout bearing puked on my wife in the middle of a busy intersection--from being out of alignment so frequently while trying to find a solution to that pivot point it burned up and I found ball bearings were on the bottom of the bell housing--so the throwout stopped turning and that isn't good

I just saw this post and yes I had that problem before with the rod punching through.
I made a different rod from a carriage bolt that I ground the edges on so it became more like a ball than a spear like the original.

Just a note here for anyone else that comes across this: go with the carriage bolt fix, do not use allthread and a brass acorn nut--the brass wears out too fast and the shoulders of the acorn moves adjustments all over the place as it wears
