started to mess with my blazer again, I dropped out the front axle cut one stock hangar off and put 1 of the b52 brackets on.. I was wondering what kind of lift I'll get with stock 52" k5 springs and a 6" shackle? I did some home made brackets on the back with late 90's rear 60" suburban springs, with that set up I ended up getting a lot more lift than I wanted..but I'm just going to let it be cause I plan to get bigger tires anyhow, last thing I want is for the front to sit lower than the back so I'm worried the stock 52" with 6" shackles might be lower than what I got going on in the back, does anyone have an idea on how much lift I can expect? and what can I do to get more lift without lift springs? maybe diferent springs off something else?

what can I do to get more lift without lift springs?

You could get another set of 52"s and mix and match leaves until you reach your desired height. More leaves means a stiffer pack and less flex, but my experience has been that 52"s are flexy to begin with.

Used springs will likely be floppier than new.

Worst case you can use a Zero Rate/EZ Inch up front, but you'll want to get your steering set up first and see what fits and what doesn't.

I would not rush into a longer shackle as that can screw with your steering geometry and make the front end wobbly.

You'll get 5" give or take with that combination. Your springs will be the determining factor of where things finally work out as far as amount of lift is concerned.

Dremu has got you covered on the other aspects. I would definitely stress not going to longer shackles to acheive further lift. While yes, it will give more lift the cons far outweigh the pros IMHO.

My truck with Dana 60 (perches are a little taller...3/4"?), full 52" stock pack with overload and in good shape, 6" shackle in stock location and the axle moved forward all the way on the B52 (so axle is 1" forward). With the resulting shackle angle that is almost vertical giving the most lift possible for that shackle (and no freaking droop lol), my suspension sat about 3"-4" higher than stock. After I added the m8000 and plate bumper, it went down to about an even 3".

You could always do a zero rate if your steering will clear the leaves. If you wanted to run a longer spring like a Ford 59", you could move the shackle eye to under the body mount by the kick panels. That would probably raise you about an inch (I think it's about 2" lower on the frame). That might give you a little more understeer, but for something like rock crawling, who would notice anyway. Only thing I don't like about that is you'd probably want a minimum of a 40" tire to keep from dragging the back of the spring every time your front tires dropped off a big rock.
