Sound deadner. When I put my most recent order in with LMC, I order the cab sound deadner kit. Well, I was mislead, thinking it was just vinyl matting. Turns out it is that tar paper stuff. Now I`m wondering if I should even put it in.

Presently, my floors are herculined, and I have a rubber bed mat that is about a 1/4 in. thick, and will be cut up into a big floor mat.

I bought the sound deadner to help reduce the road noise, as well as hold back the heat, but after look at it, I`m quite weary of using it. I have already buried my rig once, and had water come in through the doors. Now, if that were to happen again, I`m 85% sure that stuff is going to get ruined, ie. saugy and prone to ripping.

So, whatcha think? Put it in, and put the bed mat over it? or do you think I`ll be fine with just the bed mat, and I should just return the sound deadner?

TIA

1/4" of herculiner doesn't quiet it down enough? If not then there is probably no hope anyways. I wouldn't put the sound proof over the herc.

the herc is supposed to be that thick? I did like 3 coats, and I`m lucky if its 1/8"
