Finally got a second crossmember and put on my OEM skid plate. It's been sitting in the parts bin/cupboard for 2 years.

It's not a fancy upgrade, but its one less random part in the parts bin!

Very nice, I've seen this set up many times but never studied it so....

Are the 2 crossmembers the same? Doesn't the frame curve upward at that point?

@obijuank5 would this set up work on a Doubler? It looks like you might be able to shorten the separation of the crossmembers by bolting the skid plate to the outer crossmember lips rather than the inner.

It basically how I did my skid setup. It's not spaced right for a doubler exactly but it's the same concept for sure. No reason to complicate it when this works very well.
I did have to widen the rear most crossmember on the blazer frame.
Two front taller crossmembers and then the shallow k30 crossmember in the rear.

The two crossmember are identical. It could theoretically work with a doubler setup there is room to move them front or back on the frame. This is the OEM spacing for the SM465/np205 and th350/np203 setup.

Here's a rear to front shot. There is 12-16" of flat frame before it curves up for rear suspension.

Dirt from the Mesozoic era and you get extra points for being able to tell what trail that dirt came from.
