my lame ass speakers are letting a radio station bleed through, is there some sort of filter or are they just junk...They are cyber aucoustis 68 watt 3 piece subwoofer system... /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gifYeah I thought about that....Guess I'll have to dig them out.... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Paul you might check out the Logitech z560's too, they should be about the same price.

I'm not sure on the spelling here, but Klipse makes some of the most AWSOME sounding computer speakers. The 3 piece setup is SO SWEET and the surround version is AWSOME, but dont look at the price tags! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'll do an update after xmas I asked for a set as my big gift /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif NOT LIKELY but it was a try

Fumes,

I am thinking it's a combination of things....

1. Computers are lousy environments for sound. There is so much high frequency EMI in the cabinet, it's amazing that this isn't an issue more often!

2. Volume settings. The other thing that's probably going on is that the "gain" setting on your sound card is probably very low, and the speaker volume knob is probably cranked up pretty high..... what happens with low gain setting is that the REAL signal you are trying to play is not much louder than all the residual electrical "noise" in the PC, so when you CRANK the speaker volume, you are boosting both the NOISE and the SIGNAL at approximately rate.

The "radio station" is just a type of noise that has coupled in with the signal. Try messing around with the volume and "gain" or "input sensitivity" controls.

If none of this makes any sense, let me know and I'll try again. I've only had 1 cup of java so far!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
