Putting the new truck to work on day one

Friday we ran down to look at a used car for the wife and it was a dud, but she has been interested in the Silverado EV since it was announced and they had this new 2025 Chevy Silverado LT EV extended range in stock.

She was hooked after a test drive and I liked that it was rated for towing up to 12K on a trailer. It is rated for 400-500 mile range as a daily driver, 200-250 miles towing.

So after the paperwork was done Saturday, we grabbed a few things on the way home, then hooked up the 10K trailer to help a friend move a car home. It didn't care about having weight on the trailer, not that it was a full load.

It won't be taking over for the 3500HD anytime soon, but it is capable of filling in from time to time if the other truck is busy or I don't want to unload the camper for a quick trip.

PS, the dogs love the massive back seat area. Much bigger cab space than the 3500HD crewcab.

Definitely interested in the range vs use.

Slightly apples to oranges but my RAV4 hybrid isn't getting the mpg they claimed but I think I'd have to be going sub 60 mph and hypermiling to get up where they say.
 
We have two in our company fleet, with the first one being sold in AZ it was a first edition GMC and it can go 500 miles

I think the question was mileage towing vs not towing.
I know the tesla while towing was about 3-4 times less range.

With the GM EVs, you can safely just divide the normal range by 2 for towing. The truck will automatically do the math for you when you put it in tow/haul mode as well.
