what im working on is a tbi motor, low miles, but a cracked head is in the picture,

since the heads hae to come off anyways, does anyone sell vortech or perfomance tbi heads to bolt right back in, I dont want to have to change or purchase a new intake.

motor is a 350, and summi was no help.

Just would rather put something better in, the rig is used just for towing/ shop truck etc.

If you go with a Vortec intake you will have to change your intake. You will need TBI heads or can use older heads, just have to elongate the center two holes on the intake.

you can put Vortec heads on a TBI motor, It will raise compression about .7 or so, and you';ll need this: GMPP intake manifold

Not only will you need a new intake, because no older intake will work, but you will need a new chip burned for the different timing/airflow curves.

first off, Vortech doesnt make heads, they make superchargers.

as for the GMPP intake dont waste your money, unless you have to pass emissions with a visual check, or a verified functioning EGR valve.

you'll get much better performance out of a standard Vortec intake with a adapter for the TBI. cable routing could get interesting, but i would assume you can handle a little fab work.

well this is for a friends truck and I wanted to do it in 1 day and keep the price below 800.00

looks like remanufactured heads are what I will go with, thanks guys!
