qjet with nick in body

HI,

I found this nick in the qjet which I highlited in the pic below. I'm not a member so I can't host images. I circled the nick. My concern is that this will cause a leak. Should I be concerned? What does the oval thing around have to do?

Can anybody help with this? Is my carb destroyed?

Put a new gasket on it to see if it seals against the casting outside of the knick.

I though about using some jbweld to fix it but I'm not sure if this is the right area to do this as it could fall into the intake.

new gasket and a dab of permatex tack and seal in that area. that stuff is dark red and smeels super good hahaha . it will seal about anything.

Are you sure...? Look at the size of the nick. You say to seal in with just permatex tack or with jb weld?
