Sooo one more thing happened today as i was working on the truck. Pushed the shocks up and they never came down.. :-/

So i need new shocks all around. I have been told all different things about shocks and priced for $35 each to $125 each.. Is there a certain kind that i am going to be most happy with bang for buck..

Its a 82 k5 diesel with 6in lift running 35's

uh, I need to ask this too. Not all shocks "push" back right, only the gas charged ones do. I could use something like that (non-gas) for the rear of my s10, so damn bouncy.

Shocks are difficult. You kinda gotta try some and work it out. I've started with some 5125 Bilsteins, valved for a blazer (though not custom), but sized for my mounts.

only gas charged shocks bounce back, if yours are normal shocks they will not.
The way to test them is, you push on them and you want to feel an even resistance all the way from extended to compressed and vice versa, you shouldn't have any hang ups or voids.
Normally it's harder to extend them than to push them in as well.

There were air pocket feeling spots in them.

Then they are garbage.
I like the rancho 9000 they are not the best, but good value and you can tune the ride tp your liking.

give ord (offroad design) a call, they can answer any questions and get you the shocks ya need, along with mounts or anything else. it's what i did anyway

I run some shocks from bds they are not the best but they work, i plan to run bbc shocks in the future.

Some shocks can only be mounted one way up. If you flip them over they get air cavities like you are describing.
