Still planning on going LEDs for two positions, however for various reasons I plan to run all four positions high and low, two being halogen. I'll have little time so I won't be able to wait on parts.

Am I correct in remembering that the way GM wired these, all wires are the same size, and the lowers get power from a jumper wire that comes off the top bulb "high" connector terminal? Does anyone know the gauge and color of that jumper wire?

I want to think the terminals in the connectors are Packard 56 series? https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM-56-Series-Female-Terminal-p/a8774.htm

I believe it was optional. I have had quad headlight trucks that lit all four bulbs on high beams, and some that only lit two. I think it was determined by if you ordered the "better" head lights.

Headlights are supposed to be four high and two low, otherwise there would need to be different harnesses and thus different wiring diagrams (excepting the dual vs. quad headlight option).

Other than load on the old, weak alternators and GM saving money, I see no reason to not run four low beams.
