I have 8 shocks total in my truck, does anyone run these quad shock setups? Any reason not to? Feel like I don't see them that often if at all...

1 good qualiity shock per corner is all that is needed.

more than 1 is for mall crawling. and show trucks.

same is basicly true for steering dampeners. 1 shock/dampener for up to 35" tires and if needed 2 for bigger than 35" tires.

Agreed. Quad setups at one time probably served a purpose, but shock technology has progressed so far that a single shock can do the work of two without fading.

I'd like to get my hands on a good quality shock for testing just to see how or if ride quality improves over the stock quad shock front setup. Since the quad shocks aren't designed to take the load of a single shock, just removing one of each theoretically won't work.
