What do you think, will it stay running? It's jetted for 5000 ft now, where I live.

Headed to Ouray in the summer- going to run all the passes (looking forward to Black Bear) and enjoy the scenery. Never done it before.

Any advice? Will I kill a bunch of peeps in FJ40's and rental jeeps ?

I never had trouble with my Holley carb going from 5000ft at home to 12000ft. Might just idle a bit lower.

I use to routinely go from the Springs to Mt Antero on a qjet, at about 10500 I noticed enough difference to stop and do a fresh lean roll on the bypass screws, but that was it

I've wheeled my old 75 with a q-jet from 4800 ft to 10,000 to 13,000 feet. Really didn't mess with mixture screws. Just raised the idle speed slightly and bumped timing a little. I kept the dizzy clamp snug but not tight so I could give it a little more advance. I'd adjust it back down when I got home.

I have taken my big block truck with the q-jet playing on the passes south of Ouray several times. No problem. The idle would go down slightly when stood on the nose on Poughkeepsie going down the sluice box to have more fun on another line going up.
