Moving from the stock quadrajet carb on my 78 blazer that is toast to a brawler 600cfm that is a holley 4160 style carb. For now I am using the stock manifold with an adapter (plan on getting a new intake & headers but will do it when i pull the motor to replace all the gaskets) to get it running. When I bolted on the carb I noticed the throttle bracket will need an adapter as its too far away. Also the trans kickdown cable is on the passenger side stock and the carb has the kickdown on the driver side.
Wondering if this has been ran into and anyone knew the adapters needed.
So today went to install the bracket, am I missing something? The cable for the throttle doesn’t line up right and my lockdown cable (the square plastic part) in no will will fit in the bottom part.
