I need to replace the front springs on the truck from an accident and getting a small 2" lift instead of oem springs seems the cheaper route to go. So I was wondering if Rough Country 2" springs are a good quality spring to go with to replace the oem an get a little bit of lift at the same time at the insurance company's bill!

Tuff Country is 3 times more in cost! I can't believe Rough Country would be that bad? Are they truly that terrible? What about Pro-comp??

search the 2 you listed in the garage section.

you ask i told ya is all. you get what you pay for .

my buddy has first hand ride quality dislikes with ruff country in his truck. its cheep and lifted. but flex is limited and stuff riding down the road.

I had 4" Rough Country's on my 76. I thought they rode fine. Not cadillac fine, but these aren't caddy's either.

2 of rougher riding springs on the market... only thing worse is Superlift... TC's ain't that bad on price, cheaper than BDS... someone usually has a sale running on em...

So quality is good, it is just the ride that is ruff? The spring rate on the cheaper ones is higher and which equals rougher ride then!?? I'm just concerned with quality more over than rough ride. I don't take this truck rock crawling so flex isn't a concern for me in Florida.

Wouldn't the companies list their spring rate for their springs as available information? I could have sworn I seen a list like this listing all spring manufacturers in a 4 wheel drive mag or something a while ago.

I'm with Chalet on this one, I have a 4 inch Rough Country in my truck and it's not THAT bad. Just watch out for big potholes, otherwise it feels like your teeth are gonna fall out.

I have a 4" rough country on my K20 and HATE IT! Ride absolutely sucks, slightest bump makes it buck back and forth. Spend some more money and get a better ride you wont regret it!

So Tuff Country I take it is the best spring!

I guess build quality of the springs is good just the spring rate of each manufacturer is different. So Rough Country is really Rough along with Pro-comp. But Tuff Country is the best because of the ride quality? Right?

Tuff Country costs an arm and a leg more than Rough Country. Almost double the cost for their kit!!!!

These companies make the 2.5" lift springs.
Tuff Country
Rough Country
Pro-Comp
Superlift
Skyjacker

What is the order of best to worse? If you could tell me why each one is better or worse also that would be helpful.

I was getting pricing for Tuff Country from Suspension Connection? I can get a full Rough Country kit with shocks for $400 delivered from Rough Country. Tuff Country was well in to the $700's with shocks an shipping from Suspension Connection.

But I do like the 2.5" shackle flip for the rear instead of using lift block! I am sure the ride would be much better, just as long as it doesn't effect the towing tongue wait!

I've had 4" Rough Country springs on the front of my Burb for the past 6 years or so, they did ride pretty rough for the first few months, but did settle some. I ended up removing one of the lower springs in the pack to help with the harshness of speed bumps and whatnot, it did help. They are definitely a firmer ride over stock, but with that one spring missing, it's much more comfortable.

They can and do flex real well too, I've had my Burb in the rocks several times in places it probably shouldn't have been, stuffing tires and twisting things up pretty good.

I went with them for the price, yes, I'm a cheap bastard :D

Wheel it hard once those springs will ease up. Have 4" RC, they are ok. Sis has ProComps, take them out every other years cuz they go flat

you get what you pay for I have the rough country springs and they ride ok on the road but are unbearable off road.

They will get replaced in the future

Okay so Rough Country are stiff!

Pro comps go flat!

What about Rancho, Skyjacker, an Superlift? Anyone have experience with these kits?

of those 3 i say skyjacker if church stuff dont turn you off in the papers thay send with there stuff.

had a set of 6" on first truck rode great with the stuff i linked in the other thread few min ago from ord.

Yeah, I'm liking the beefier parts from ORD for sure. The front shackle kit is looking nice but man it is expensive for sure. But I suppose thickness and quality cost the extra bucks.
