i was looking through the nuts im confused section in Petersons and something caught my eye. A guy was asking about laying bedliner in his interior floor and asked about it being insulated. the guy who responds said its best to lay a type of insulator or more sheetmetal because bedliners are petreloum based so they might catch on fire if it gets to hot. has anyone ever heard of this? i dont have the mag in front of me so there was alittle more to it but has anyone heard of a truck catching on fire from herculine or a similar product??

I read that article too and it was the first time I'd ever heard of it.

i hadnt either and i know alot of people who do it. i would think the line-x and rhino liner places would make you sign something if you went to them to do it.

Just read the article today for the second time, mag is in the library (sh!tter). The point he was trying to make IMO is that in the most extreme cases it could catch fire but the greater porblem I see is with the metal getting so hot it starts to bubble and breakdown etc.

yea i dont plan on worryin ab it. i really doubt it would, i just thought it was strange.
