Question about balljoints

I have a 1976 k5 blazer my balljoints where bad so I went ahead and put a set of acdelcos in I pressed both in that went well I tightened the bottom that went fine now for the top I tightened the bolt and noticed that the balljoint came out alittle bit I know the steering knuckle has a slight bend on the top and didn’t know if it was supposed to be like that the bottom of the balljoint is perfectly flush with the knuckle

The left of that picture it is flush in there the right is where it’s pulled out alittle, I drove a mile or so to see how it did and it felt tight but I don’t want it to pop out so I figured I would ask thanks everyone

Just curious, what did you torque your adjuster sleeve to? I'm assuming you have a dana 44 too?

70 ft pounds yeah I have a Dana 44

Here's mine, is it possible someone did some grinding on your steering knuckle at some point? At any rate, it shouldn't ever be able to pop out if you have the retainer clip on the bottom ball joint
