O K , I know this has been covered before but I am asking if anybody has pics or can describe how to cut the inner part of the outer fender, (if that makes any sense), also pics or description of cutting the inner fender and piecing it back together to conform to the fram rail. Steve, I know you had some, but I can't find the pics. I did find a couple of great pics of Kyle89k5's and another of a bright orange blazer that I don't know who owns but he cut the fenders , front and rear and it looks great , but there are no close ups or descriptions. So if anyone has some words of wisdom, I have a great set of ears to listen. Thanks! Any info is appreciated.

get a beanie. pull it over your eyes. turn on the sawsall and let er rip. chop it all off. its worth it for bigger tires. people will look at your truck in a wierd way... no one will park next to you at the grocery store...and no more rubbing.

If you want, I have LOTS of pics of cutting of my fenders when I installed my bushwacker cut-out flares. Send me an email addy and I will send you a zip with all the pics.

We used a pneumatic edge grinder to cut my inner fenders. The pneumatic saber we had didn't have the umph to go through both fenders at the same time.

Of course, we found out later that we had it on low speed! SLUGGO! Anyway, it might have worked better on high!

I thought there was a link with a lot more. Not sure if it was Steve's truck or not, but pictures with more severe trimming.
Am I dreaming?

I went all on my own! If you would see the hill it self, you would be pumped! The first 40 ft is a dirt hill, but the rest is a set of waterfall ledges! It is a long hillclimb and very challenging due to the water coming down! The K5's just fit because of the hills/walls on both sides so it is pretty tight!

Thank god for my spare tire carrier!!!! If it wasn't for it I would have gone over!

*note to self....leave K5 at home when wheeling with Mike....at least until a spare tire carrier is on*

You can see some pics here of fenders that have been cut and still have full inners that can be unbolted, no close-ups but if you like I do have some more with close-ups on my puter that I could dig up later.
