I am trying to get together information on going flat belly on my Blze. Wanted to fab a skid plate to help protect the center section. For those that have already done this, what's all involved in making this work?

I have a stock 350 with 700r4 and the NP 208 all in stock configuration.

Any help out there? :dunno:

You are going to have to clock the t case up all the way which in turn causes the angle on the front shaft to be really bad(I did this to my 241 and put it back because the shaft was binding at ride height with a 4" lift).

If you have a doubler this helps alleviate the front shaft angle by legthening the shaft. This is what I would like to do someday.

.

You just needed to clearance your CV cage a little more and possible tear your whole front end apart and reaim the pinion and cut and turn knuckles... man I got tired of the driveshaft shop guys saying,"just tell me what size lift you have and I'll make the shaft the right length for you".
Gave them specific lengths and they still didn't make it right. Not going back to that place.
(my front slip yoke was shot, so I needed a shaft before all the clocking and pinionizing)

You can see my skidplate in the pic. It is actually about 1.5 inches below the frame, but it's smooth and flat.

The front CV was clearanced all the way around(second one I have done) and it just ran out of flex(there were no points of the cage touching anything else, it just would not go any farther). The front pinion was clearnced when it was a 1310 to help the front out. I regeared and out in a 1350 pinion joint after that and haven't had a problem on the pinion side.
