Hello. Just wondering if anyone knows if i'll have any fitment issues with a set of headers on my 88 k5. What i'm concerned about is whether i'll run into problems with them clearing the slave on a hydro bellhousing. I'm leaning toward the Edelbrock TES w/ air injection. Is anyone running the same set up or know of any issues with this? Thanks.

Headers For 88 K5

I just installed a pair of doug thorley tri -y's on my 88 K5 this year they went on fine. The only place it was tight was by the rear shackle bolt on the front leaf springs. If you have a lift biggger than 4'' they have a y pipe that will clear the front drive shaft. They will bolt up to the stock 3" single exhust. Good low end torque with aggessive sound w/flowmaster 40 series.

im not aware of the set up your talking about but i have a set of aftermarket headers on my 88k5 not to sure what brand but they fit with no problems at all

does anyone know what it would cost to run new exhaust from the headers back. i would buy the mufflers and headers and take them in. probably run duals right out the back. 85 k5

All the way out the back from the headers was about $300 at the local shop. Clearance wasn't really a big problem but I ran into O2 sensor problems and had to install a 3-wire sensor so it would be heated. AFS-74 I believe was the AC Delco Part# but don't quote me, might just be something to look into.
