I have a 79 Blazer that I just put a 4in rough country lift on. I also just purchased a 91 Blazer that is completely stock. I would like to transfer my lift kit from the 79 to the 91. My question is are these two suspensions identical? Will my lift kit bolt right into the 91?

The bushings in the springs may be different...

Blocks or springs rear?

But for the most part, yes it should work fine.

Yes you can transfer it all , but as mentioned my our comrade above , you would need to use the lift springs , and the bolts and shackles from it , as the spring eye bushings take a larger bolt on the newer trucks ( 88-91 ) .

Of course you could drill your spring bushings out and find some sleeves and run the stronger larger bolts :thumb:

As my luck would have it the mud truck has a set of 6" springs form the V-series. :D

I used springs all the way around. What about the shocks? Will the shocks interchange as well or are the mounts different? Aslo, you guys are saying the the spring eye bushings are a bigger diameter on the 91. So if I use the shackles from the 79 which already fit the rear springs, will the top hole in the shackle bolt up to the frame fine?

Yes, it should. From everything that I've messed with its the front shackle bolt in the frame that is a different size from everything else. Every bolt in the rear is the same size.
