I have a 1984 K30 with Factory Bigblock motor. I already have the Transfer Case Mounts (installed) that ORD lists here:

Now, I want to do my Motor Mounts as well, and I have heard that I should do all poly, if possible. So I'd like to order these things:

and the motor mounts listed here:

Now, here's the issue! In the description for the motor mounts, it says (pasting from site linked):

These are a bolt-in replacement for the factory small block or diesel mounts. They will not fit an original big-block truck, the frame bolt pattern is a little different. The DO fit small block trucks that are swapping in a big block motor. An example is our green K5, it was originally a diesel, then ran a 383 small block and then we bolted the 468 big block into the same mounts. Our mounts will not bolt into the 1-ton truck that the came in from the factory.

Are there any solutions for me to run the better mounts with a factory 1 ton frame and Big Block? Is it just another part number, or do I need to go with just regular old replacements?

Thanks in advance for advice.

hmm. maybe that was the problem i ran into. i have a 1-ton frame, big block dropped in, but i used diy4x mounts. it put the engine at a higher angle and i had to make a spacer for the t-case mount so it wouldn't hit the factory skid plate.

the frame i have had a 350 in it to start with, as far as i know.

So does anyone know about the 1 ton frames? I guess I could just call ORD, but I figured posting here would let other folks learn as well.

the 1-ton frames are thicker steel and they are thicker height wise also. i have one of each here right now.

I know. I have a 3/4 ton and a 1 ton as well. I don't care about the thickness of the frame. I care mostly about what motor mounts I can buy that will work for my application. Any idea on that?

Thanks in advance!

Subscribed because I haven't found an answer to that very same question.... Some people say they will fit and others say they won't. So I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread until I find a satisfactory answer.

good luck on getting them to read this thread. just call and ask.

i told ya i put a 454 in a my 1-ton frame. it'll fit, but you may or may not have to make a small, 1/2 " spacer. maybe ORD's mounts aren't as high as DIY4x.
