I am stuck with a big problem here....My Dad's 95 Monte will run fine for 2 weeks or so, then it just won't start. We have had it to every shop around here and it acts fine for them. It will turn over when it tries to start, but it just seems to flood out. Thank in advance if anyone has had this same problem.

my sister was flooding hers by hitting the accelerator pedal and then turning the key on. also you should be able to pull the codes off the computer and see what's going on.

pull the codes off of what computer? The one at the shop or what? Or is there codes in the book that say what's going on?

It does it both, he can drive it for a while and then it won't start, then he will let it sit for a couple hours and it will start. But then the next day or so, it won't start.

Sounds like it may be a coil pack issue. The coil pack is the thing that all the plug wire go to. Thay canl cause starting problems when they start going bad.

Have you checked for trouble codes? Check for trouble codes before replacing anything. Some Auto parts stores like auto zone will do a scan for free
Post the results. .

I will see if I can get it over to auto zone and see if they will hook it up. Thanks for the advice.
