question about posi carrier

Would the dents and scrapes in the carrier make the carrier useless? There is no cracks or break throughs. Thanks.

I talked to a friend that deals with rearends for all kinds of vehicals and he said it should be ok as long as the ring gear can slide with no problem. The rear blew due to a broken carrier bearing bolt.

My friend is running a 7.5" gov-lock carrier in his S-10 that we cracked about 5 YEARS ago, and it is still holding up.

Doesn't mean yours won't cause problems, but I would have thought the cracks would have killed it in short order.
