ok just need to know the best way to ship a set of axleshafts, just the shafts, I have got a short side in the mail before with just tape wrapped around it, is this ok? i dont really want to find or buy a box. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

i would throw some rags around the spines and duct tape the isht out of them. that would be where damage could occur. and if they have ujoints in them(with stubs attached) if your talking about fronts then they won't ship them if they're flopping around.

I bought a complete set of front shafts off a member here and he sent them with cardboard wrapped around them and taped up very well. I think taping them would be ok but like said put a rag or something around the splines, them delivery service people are kinda rough on packages.

thanks guys, I taped the splines up real good and put a layer or two of tape all the way up and down them. The guy at the shipping store said it would be fine.
