Ok so I have a 75 k5 I dropped a tbi motor in from a 95 1 ton van with a 4l80. I was running a t350 and 203. Well t350 crapped out. So I found a 4x4 4l80e out of a 91 burb I want to put in. At the same time I'm rewiring everything and adding auto meter gauges. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to get the speed signal to the gauges and the ECM. What is the best easiest way to do this? What are my options for tcases to get this done and what vehicles can I find them in?

75 you have a mech speedo still right? So, you have to run the cable. I believe there is an adapter you can attach between the speedo output on the t-case and the cable that will create a signal for the ECM. Jags That Run or Advance Adapters come to mind for that unit.

What t-case do you have now? You will need a different input shaft, or a whole different t-case depending on what you want, to mate to the 4L80E.

Right now I don't have a tcase. I'm trying to find what I need. And I'm putting all new electrical auto meter gauges. I'm thinking a 241 from a burb is what I need.

Well, there ya go. You don't need a cable drive t-case. An NP241 from a TH400 or 4L80 burb should do the trick.

Pretty sure the TH400 and 4L80 share the same output shaft size. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, or confirm if right.

241 from a 400 will fit a 4L80E provided you use the correct cast iron adapter between the two, they share the same bolt pattern and output shaft spline.
