I just bought a 92 Suburban, and I've got a couple of warning lights on the dash. 1 is the E-brake light, it says it's on, but it's not. The other is the ABS brakelight warning light. Anybody have any idea why these 2 would pop up together, out of nowhere? Thanks

e-brake not adjusted correctly
e-brake switch broken
Brake fluid level low

ABS probably has a fault, you need to get it checked. The light being on means only the ABS part is not working. You have standard brakes now that can lock up. Don't worry, ABS being off isn't gonna lock your brakes for no reason, you'r just back to normal brakes with no ABS assistance.

The ABS system has detected a fault. When the ABS light comes on (at least in trucks of that era) the red "Brake" light also comes on. It's probably some legal stuff for people that are just too freakin' stupid to realize that the ABS light has to do with the brakes, so those morons can't say they were in a wreck because they "didn't know" that the ABS light meant "brakes"... :doah:
