Question for buying axles

Hey, I called the junkyard and was asking about whether or not they had any decent 14ff or d60 axles, they said they didn't. They wanted my make, model & year before looking. I'm thinking if they didn't see 83 GMC Jimmy axle, they just figured they don't have it. What all year ranges can I ask for to find the axle?

I hate it when a junkyard does that. I needed a headlight bucket once for my 78 Nova and they said they didn't have it, well when I asked for one for a 76 they did. Exact same part. -sigh-

have them look up a k-30. 86 or something around that year should have the axles your looking for.
