Would these springs work on the vortec heads. I'm only running a stock l31 cam as of now. Just figured since the heads were off, might as well ugrade the springs for a future cam swap.

Yes the springs will work on the vortec heads BUT if you use more spring than the cam needs you highly risk losing cam lobes because of too much spring pressure. You need to match the springs to the cam you're going to run. If you plan a cam swap in the future then you "might" need new springs again at that time to match the new cam.
