When you tapped your top cap did you tap it all the way through? The fitting on mine seems to screw all the way down, unlike the front fitting which has a few threads still showing.

Here is how the threads look in mine.

Throw a little extra tape on there if your worried about it.

Pipe threads are to be tapped to a precise depth. You never just run the tap all the way through. (I assume that you know that, but for others that might not)

Without a gage to know where the perfect depth is, I would try to have approximately 4 threads or approximately 2/3's of available threads of the fitting threaded into the tapped hole.

So you need to tap some, then check the thread engagement and repeat as needed.

Please don't assume I know what I am doing. I am a dumbass. I threaded the thing with no rhyme or reason, just laid it down and called it good. Ill buy one already done from ems offroad.

This fu(king project is killing me
