i have a 88 3/4 ton 4x4 suburban from here in California. always been garaged so paint is excellent, zero rust, 150k miles, have the receipts from when it was purchased plus every maintenance record. even window sticker and purchase order, anyway i have an office in Atlanta and was thinking about driving it out there and using it for couple weeks then selling it.
what kind of $$ do you think it would bring out there?
Only thing that doesn't work on it is rear air.

I wouldn't lump Atlanta in with the East Coast. Lol.

I don't pretend to be an expert in the market for burbs, but I do watch Atlanta and Nashville Craigslist regularly for parts suburbans. From what I've seen down here, there isn't much of a market for them. Running examples go for for $1000-$1500 on a regular basis. The exception are the ones that are on blocks and boggers. That'll command another couple of grand.

I don't see too many clean trucks for sale down here, but a good amount are rust free for the most part. Most have been ragged out by an owner by now. I've not found one nice enough to make me want to swap everything over yet, but I've come close. There may be someone waiting to drop a wad on one like yours. If you make it out here and have a major issue, I'd be your guy to scoop the non running version. Hopefully, the need never manifests.

I'm assuming your mindset is the truck should bring more money out here because it's a clean west coast truck? If that's the case, then you need to focus your market towards maybe Indiana to the upper northeast. Rust isn't really as big of an issue here in the southeast. I would think it would bring $5000-$6000 or so, maybe a little more if it's TBI.

Also, keep in mind that crew cabs are what's HOT nationwide right now.

any serious collector will be looking at your orange county CL ad.

Find a stock grille for it too.

^ Ditto....up here anything rust free brings much more than areas where un-rusted vehicles are more plentiful...
I'd guess you could gain 1000-1500+ bucks selling it up here vs CA..
