Hi Brother!I have Chevy Blazer K5 6.2 diesel,1984 year,In book "Chilton , Full-Size Truck 1980-87 repair manual" section 9-8(brakes,Bleeding the Brake system ,point 5)"The combination valve must be held open during the bleeding process.A clip, tape,or other smilar tool(or an assitans)will hold the metering pin in"..so..have i do it dyring the bleeding rear or front brake system proces ?how to bleed rear brakes?what exactly must i open, what tool on its body combination valve?discribe me in details?Thanks!Anton-Russia

K the combination valve is in the front of the truck on the inside edge of the front crossmember. It has both the brakelines coming from the master cylinder going into it and the brakelines that go to the wheels coming out.

Personally I've never had to "pin" the valve to get the brakes to bleed even if one side of it did totally go out.

Same here, never had to reset or pin it for that matter.

The two times I messed with that pin,I ended up replacing the combination valve!--I'd bleed the brakes the usual way and stay AWAY from that thing!...both of the valves I tried moving the pin did one of two things--it stayed in the "out" position,or it snapped right off!..I've bled brakes 100+ times without ever touching one since with no issues at all--sometimes I swear those "Children's" manuals tell you to do things you really dont have too sometimes, and it gets you in more trouble than you started off with..I noticed many times they instruct you to remove things that dont need to be,or wait until the next page to tell you DONT DO THIS",after you DID it on the previous page's instructions!...

You have to put it into Russian so he understands it....:D
