question/front driveshaft again

I took my front driveshaft off to re-build, so is it ok to still drive the truck with no front driveshaft ?

Yeah it's still fine to drive. If you have a 203 full time t-case, then you will need to put it into hi-loc. Otherwise the front out put will get all the power and you'll go nowhere. If you've got a part time t-case, then just leave it in 2-hi.
