I was looking at the spec page for 1989 K5's an wondering if the 26,663 production total for that year included GMC Jimmy's also?

I wonder if their is a spec amount for how many colors of each were produced? Might make a certain color more valuable!

Also, anyone ever seen a brochure for the GMC Jimmy? Everything is only Chevy K5.

ok, this is purely speculation, but... I doubt production numbers included Jimmys, and I also doubt any particular color is more valuable than another. In my opinion, these trucks are worth what someone is willing to pay for them, which is usually more(and rightfully so)than the kbb or nada value would imply.

No, GMC numbers are not included in Chevy numbers and GMC always had lower production numbers than Chevy. A rule of thumb was a 1/3 of Chevy numbers. And Jimmy numbers never broke 25,000 units in any year.
That being said, an '89 Jimmy isn't any more valuable than a Chevy in same condition.
Rarest yrs would have to be the first and last years of production,
'70 and '91 but then value is determined by whatever somebody is willing to pay for it.
Example, I just found a '91 Jimmy, full load, 350 TBI, 72K miles on it, 2 owners with original paint & paperwork. $6500.
These are used trucks, not COPO Chevelles so unless it's painted 1 of 1 flaming orange, color won't increase value.
Overall condition is the deciding factor.
Last three yrs of Jimmy. No breakdown on colors, power trains or options.
1989 - 5,039
1990 - 8,866
1991 - 3,027

Yeah I really meant what is the harder to find colors an what years of the last 3 years is harder to find not so much which is more valuable so much.

I have an 89 Jimmy but I never seem to find another GMC in the last 3 years as easily as I can find a Chevy version.

The low numbers explains why now!

I would like another GMC Jimmy in 89-91 in mint condition. I like the TBI trucks without the smog crap an the 30 spline axles! They are hard to find for sure! I like my truck looking stock condition an looking good. Hard to find them not already heavily modified or thrashed by previous owners though!

Thanks for the info on the numbers!

I've got a 91 Jimmy but it's thrashed and nowhere near mint. 223k miles (yes that number is 223!), soft top and hard top, small lift and 33's. I like stock for the most part, but I do like the smaller lift and soft top and planned to do that anyway so I bought the one that already had those mods.

Interior shows the mileage but the rear end and engine have been replaced and it runs pretty good. Body is in good condition too other than cruddy GM clearcoat. I've got all the carpet out since it was wet from the leaky soft top and I'm going to line it and leave it.

When I bought it I looked up the production numbers because I thought a 91 was pretty rare too - 3027 is what I found.

3027 is a very rare number indeed! Which is why I find it so hard to find a nice stockish looking 89-91 Jimmy.

When I have found one they were asking $10,000 or more for a very good condition stock with lower mileage! Which is crazy!!! But I guess they are hoping for a dream buyer!
