finally getting around to finishing my 5.3 swap, I've been busy with other things for too long.

I bought a stock TBI tank with sending unit, corvette fuel pressure regulator, and AN -6 fittings and line to get it all setup.

Before I put it all togther, I just wanted to confirm that someone has confirmed that the stock TBI fuel pump is adequate. If not, what are you using in-tank?

first is 5.3 single or return line style ?

if single then need corvete filter/regulator .

if 2 line just reg filter and full return line.

then the tbi pump maxes out around 20 psi free flow.

you need 60psi working for the vortec motors from 96-up to the 4.8/5.3/6.0 stuff.

the 96-97 chevy trucks still had steel fuel tank and sending unit. same shape / electric plug on pump but high pressure for your needs.

so grab a pump from a 96-97 c3500 5.7 engine . thats what i did and perfect. dont forget the new sock for the pump inlet .

EP-381 is the ac delco part number I used and it works great, rockauto.com has excellent prices on it as well
