I would get it, but try to negotiate a lower price.
Look and see if the trans wiring harness has been changed to the late model one. i.e. '92 & up. The old one would leak fluid into the connector and short out.

In the connector itself. The outer pigtail and the inner harness need to be replaced. It's the later style if there's no bolt holding it on. Therefore "sgood.".

I bought a 91 v1500 burb for $2500. it had a just about perfect interior with buckets, outer body had some dings and it had 135K miles on it. 350 TBI and 700r4 tranny. Try barganing with him.

the grill is just from a different truck (pretty sure)

theres a 91 1500 burb close to me with a rebuilt 350TBI/465/208 for $1300

Thats the original grille. 88-91s had the quad headlights as an option and THAT was the standard grille...its obvious why so many people sprung for the quad headlight grilles...

Those are both correct grilles, which is base and which is optional is a question.
