I snapped my axle and put in a new one, but i had the shop do it. i had an arb air locker put in the front, but no manual or anything came with it. I have a few questions - do i leave the compressor on the whole time or is it only engaged when the compressor is on?

If you have ARB compressor, too, just flip a switch when you need to lock the diffs.

Compressor on = diff locked, compressor off = diff open.

yes, but my compressor doesnt stay on. i turn it on, nothing happens. i flip the switch to engage, nothing happens. i flip the engage switch off, then back on and the compressor comes on for a second. does it just do it by pressure in the system. it just needs pressure to engage and it holds it engaged. I dont want to **** my **** up

Quote: The air source should have a tank capacity that enables it to actuate the Air Locker(s) in one charge so that no hesitation is experienced when locking one or two differentials.

HINT: A good way to insure that you have the necessary capacity is to make sure you can engage, disengage, and then reengage your Air Locker(s) without the air source having to regenerate (e.g., without the compressor turning on to refill the tank. End quote

Right out of the manual, hope that clarifies things.
Did you look at the website to see if you could download the manual? Just a thought.
