Question on my 72 K5 what is a CST package?

IIRC, CST was the top of the line trim, i.e. would have had AC, the fancy interior, etc.

Details would be in the dealer sales brochures... see link below, go to 1972, Blazer, see page 6.

"CST" = "Custom Sport Truck" option...you could get one decked out fully,or with hardly any options...mostly it was a trim package than anything..

The '71 CST K5 I had only had a few rare options--a factory tach dash, and a "CST" interior trim package, which didn't look all that much different than my '72 K5's "Cheyenne" trim package..had the same design on the door panels and seats...heck,it didn't even have A/C!...SM465 tranny and typical 250 HP 350 V8 engine,3.73 gearing...

Here is a very rare '69 CST for sale locally...I've never seen a '69 K5 with a 3 speed on the colum,or a CST version, but I have seen some with floor shifters and a Dana 20 T-case factory...this one has been listed for quite awhile--price was 12,500 a few days ago,now its back to 17+K...guess the guy isn't in a hurry to part with it..cant say I blame him..http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/cto/4936152664.html
