Question on trim panels

Ok so now that ive stripped the interior out i want to do something cool with it and i have a couple of things in mind. But my question is what materials would i need to repaint the trim panels like the one in the pic? If i remember right the last time i tried to do something like this i failed as bad as the night i lost my virginity, or something to that effect, point made . Any advice, tips tricks?

Krylon Fusion colors, or LMC also carries a Color Bond for plastic. Either should work, but I have had experience with the Krylon stuff and it works really well.

I'll 2nd that. The new paint for plastic is sweet stuff
